there's no such thing as alimony in Japan's common or tort laws. on a case by case basis the Family Court system that handles divorces, child protection services, and juvenile crimes could provide support to a child. BUT ONLY if one divorced parent that has custody needs further assistance in the way of cash. but alimony to a divorcee is NOT a standard procedure in Japan.

so, Japan does have provisions for child support payments but no payments to keep a 'party girl' like his wife going. she might, just MIGHT get a partial amount of her husband's assets if she can prove in court she increased those assets through marriage, dowry, or business acumen/investing.

that's why she said at 20:36, "Oh, is something wrong? You want a divorce instead? You can't make me shine anymore anyway. I've got plenty of other sponsors to go to." then she just blatantly tells her husband she's sick of raising their son and her husband can have the kid. she doesn't even want to keep the kid for the child support payments. she also knows she's not getting alot of cash in a divorce settlement with her husband. all he has to do is show how her extravagant lifestyle put a serious strain on their finances and she's not going to get a single Yen as a settlement. so she'll have to find another 'moneybags' to fleece.

so papa there actually would have been better off LEGALLY getting rid of his THOT problem instead of blowing her brains out.
